From its maiden bloom, the blue eye intrigued us. Sometimes this cultivar breaks into a pattern, and at other times the dark blue eye is solid. Parents include a NOID with a dark blue eye. The NOID was sent to us as Memphis, but clearly was as far from being H. Memphis as one could get. MB is a TET, SE, Early bloomer. It is one of the first flowers we see in our garden. The blooms are 5 inch and the scapes are around 24, so it is a front of the bed/border plant. When it throws the pattern, it is a show-stopper.
