King Melchior's Gift
Briilliant gold self and throat with orange tentacled edge. Wow, what a bright, showy flower. This one was also in the seedling bed where the dogs ripped out and ate the tags, so we are not sure of its parentage. The name comes from the story of the Wise Men's gifts as it was King Melchior who brought the gift of gold to the Christ Child. The scapes stand at 27-29 inches and the flower is 6.25. Tet, SE, Early Midseason.
